IFYE Host Family Opportunities

The IFYE Program will resume on a limited basis for 2025.  Full details are not know at this time. As more information is learned, it will be posted here.

From June through September each year, Kansas 4-H families may host IFYE exchange delegates for 2-3 weeks during their 2-3 month stay in Kansas.  It is a wonderful way to learn more about another culture and to expand your cultural knowledge.  Exchange delegates represent their country's partner organization and vary in age, but are generally 18-30 years-old. Kansas families with or without children may host IFYEs.

Kansas 4-H plans to host IFYEs again in summer 2025, and will need around 4 Kansas 4-H host families per IFYE for their stay in Kansas. These IFYEs will be in Kansas from mid-June to early September 2025, and will fly in and out of Wichita's Dwight Eisenhower Airport (ICT).

As IFYE applications are confirmed they will be listed below. Click on the link to see the specifics for these IFYEs and how to fill out an online application. Currently the Kansas 4-H IFYE Inbound Coordinator postition is open.  For details about this coordinator position, contact Deryl Waldren, 303-349-7403, or email dwaldren@ksu.edu.
