4-H Youth Development

States' 4-H International Exchange Programs

States' 4-H exchange programs will be offered in summer 2025.

4-H Youth aged 12-18 and Chaperones may apply to spend 3-8 weeks abroad depending on their travel location preferences.  Applications for youth for 2025 are due on November 1, 2024.  Interviews and the first orientation will be held on Sunday, November 24 in Junction City, KS. 

2025 Outbound country options include traveling to Japan, South Korea, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Taiwan.

Adult volunteers are needed to chaperone a group of 4-H members to Japan, South Korea, Costa Rica, Argentina and Taiwan.  Resources are in the upper right corner of this page for both lead and junior chaperone position descriptions and the separate links to apply.
